I've spent a lifetime people-watching. Dreaming and wondering what it would be like to finally arrive. Now I'm here and people are really giving much more credit than I deserve. Outpatient days at memorial and coffeeshop evenings in shirt and tie. People ask me for my opinion in elevators. They approach me in cafes to ask for advice for their children. It's a little overwhelming. And I still don't feel much older than I did ten years ago. Some days, I just feel like I'm playing make-believe. When does practice become exceptional. And when will responsibility become the rule.
Hopefully sooner, rather than later.
